My Story
I’m Matt Woodfill, the lead pastor of The Way Church in The Woodlands, Texas. I’ve had the privilege of serving this vibrant and growing community for over 20 years. My approach to preaching is often creative and unconventional, and I’ve worked to become a respected leader, author, speaker, and communicator. Through my ministry, I’ve been blessed to make a profound impact on countless lives, helping people discover their purpose, deepen their faith, and experience the transformative power of God’s grace.
As the author of The 2nd YES, I share my personal journey of faith, resilience, and the life-changing power of saying "yes" to God’s calling. My message of hope and purpose resonates with people from all walks of life, and I love offering a fresh perspective on how God’s Word applies to everyday situations.
When I preach, I aim to make it engaging and relatable—using powerful illustrations with practical application to bring timeless biblical truths to life. My deep understanding of Scripture, combined with my ability to connect with modern audiences, has opened many doors for me as a speaker and communicator. I strive to inspire and empower others to take bold steps in their own faith journeys.
Building authentic relationships is something I deeply value. I’m committed not just to preaching the Gospel, but also to equipping others to become leaders who will impact their families, communities, and the world. Serving others is central to my ministry, and I continue to lead with unwavering dedication—honoring the memory of my late wife, raising my children, and fostering a multi-cultural environment at The Way Church.
Faith, family, and community are the foundations of my life and work. My goal is to continue inspiring others to live with purpose, authenticity, and a deeper understanding of God’s Word.
